The problem of treating inflammatory periodontal diseases in patients with diabetes
mellitus
remains relevant, despite the abundance of available
methods of therapy
and the means used. Long-term use of toothpastes containing antiseptics has been
found to reduce the total number of viable bacteria in the oral cavity, stabilizing the
microbial purity of the oral cavity. Dentists recommend rinsing and toothpastes that
have an antibacterial effect.
Materials and methods
: in the experiment, 40 patients with diabetes mellitus,
classified into 2 groups, one using toothpastes containing antiseptic agents, Group 2
antiseptics using no toothpastes. The main complaints are bleeding gums, migraine
and discomfort, unpleasant odor from the mouth, dryness of the head of the mouth.
At the time of the initial examination, the dental condition of the patients was
unsatisfactory oral hygiene in the primary and control groups. According to the GI
index, in intensity groups, gingival inflammation averaged. Toothpastes studied with
antiseptic components included in the treatment regimen
have a wide range of
effects.
