Introduction.
Systemic vasculitis is a rare disease characterized by
inflammation of blood vessels, which can lead to various complex disorders limited
to one organ or potentially affecting several organs and systems. The annual
incidence of vasculitis ranges from 40 to 60 cases per 1 million people.
An articular syndrome is one of the main signs of such types of systemic
vasculitis as Takayasu aortoarteritis (TA), microscopic polyangiitis (MPA),
granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA), cryoglobulinemic vasculitis (CGV).
Joint damage in the form of arthritis or arthralgia is observed in 65-70% of
patients with eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, 40-50% with
cryoglobulinic vasculitis, 45-65% with Schenlein—Genoch vasculitis, and most
often the knee and ankle joints are involved in the pathological process.
