Abstract:
The level of health literacy of the population is now becoming an
important focus for the development of health systems in various countries. Health
literacy plays a crucial role in individuals' ability to access, understand, and
effectively utilize health information and services. In recent years, there has been a
growing recognition of the impact of health literacy on public health outcomes. This
thesis aims to explore the concept of health literacy, examine its influence on
individuals' health behaviors and outcomes, and propose strategies to enhance health
literacy in various populations. By promoting health literacy, we can empower
individuals to make informed decisions, effectively navigate the healthcare system,
and ultimately improve public health outcomes. There are many options for

measuring this level and an attempt to improve it, as it contributes not only to
improving the quality of medical care but also to reduce the costs of its delivery.
This article describes the concept of health literacy and approaches to its study.
