The  article  deals  with  linguistic-cultural  units  in  M.  Zh.  Kopeev's  publicistic  writing.  The 

features  of  publicistic  writing  in  the  manifestation  of  identity  of  a  person  developing  a  literary 

language  are  analyzed.  The  author's  being  as  a  linguistic  personality  determined  on  the  basis  of 

linguistic-cultural units in publicistic writing is studied. 

Through linguistic-cultural units in the works of M. Zh. Kopeev is determined by how social 

changes manifested in the life and outlook of the Kazakh people.
