Onomastic researches in the retrospective of world linguistics

The article considers onomastics as a section of linguistics from the standpoint of the idea of 

anthropocentricity  of  language.  The  role  of  onomastics  in  the  system  of  humanitarian  research  is 

substantiated. The resources of onomastics as a scientific discipline are presented on the example 

of anthroponymy and toponymy. New approaches are highlighted from the perspective of which it is 

necessary to study the onomastic material of Kazakhstan.
