4. Basic of Botany
5. Concepts in Botany
Botany is the science which deals with plants. Botany holds its place as a sciences parallel with biology, physics, geology (джиолоджи) and other sciences. The scope of botany may be summarized (саммерайзд) by the subdivisions: Systematic botany, a classification of plants; Plant morphology, a study of the life processes and functions of the plant.
And there are also many specialized fields such as phytopathology (файтопаталоджи) (study of plant diseases), paleobotany (study of fossil plants), genetics (study of bacteria), mycology (study of fungi (фанги), algology (study of algae), bryology (study of mosses), agrostology (study of herbs) and others.

7. Basic parts of plant
8. The purposes of different parts of a plant
Roots keep a plant anchored (анкорд) in the ground. They also bring water and nutrients into the body of plant.
The Stem is the main body of the plant. It carries water and nutrients from the roots to the leaves. Leaves are responsible for photosynthesis.
Some plants develop buds when they reproduce. They grow petals and turn into flowers. Fruits develop from flowers. Their main purpose – пурпес is to catch seeds. Some plants have Buds instead of fruits. Some plants grow from bulbs that store nutrients.
10. Flowers
A flower is a system of organs of seed reproduction of angiosperms (энджиөсперм).
The flower consists of six parts. They are the calyx (келыйкс) the corolla, the stamens, the pistil, the pericarp and the receptacle (ресептикал).
The calyx is the largest circle of a flower, which means a cup from Latin.
Its duty is to protect the more delicate parts and organs within.
Within the calyx is the corolla, which means "little crown" in Latin. The corolla is that beautiful part of a flower which attracts our attention from the variety (верайти) of its tints.
It further protects the seed-producing organs in the center. Within the corolla there is a circle of slender stalks. Each of these has a small knob or long, tube-shaped structure and its tip. These stalks are called stamens from the Latin word meaning thread. (срөд) They have two parts – the filament and anther.
The filament is the stem of the stamen.
The anther is a knob at the top of the filament.
The innermost organ and the seed-producing part of the flower is the pistil. It consists of three parts: the future seed-vessel; the style and the stigma.
The stamens and pistil form the most essential parts of a flower.
The pericarp is in fact the germen grown to perfection. It varies considerably in form, size and substance. The receptacle is the bottom part of the blossom. It generally stands between the calyx and corolla, and supports all parts of a flower.
