Types of independent work of students of engineering specialties in the study of
mathematics and their evaluation criteria
Annotation
The transition to credit training technology, which implies paying more attention to the
student’s creative, independent work. In this regard, it is necessary to revise many aspects in the
process of studying the discipline ―Mathematics‖, in particular in engineering specialties. This
article highlights some aspects of the independent work of first-year students enrolled in the
credit system. The main objective of this article is how to highlight materials for independent
work of a student and their evaluation criteria. For example, in the school course of mathematics,
the concept of functions, the definition of graphs of functions, the concept of linear, power,
exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric and inverse functions are studied quite well. All these are
materials for the student’s independent work. In an independent examination of the basic
elementary functions, the student must take notes and give everything to the teacher, who, in
turn, must evaluate the student’s work in points.
