The Crow and the Water Jar
The weather is hot and dry. There is no water, and the crow is thirsty. It looks for water but it does not find any. The crow thinks, “I need water!”
Then the crow sees a water jar in the garden. The crow flies to the jar, looks into it and sees water.
The crow puts its head into the jar and tries to drink. But the jar’s neck is narrow, and the water is at the bottom. The crow can’t get the water. It tries again and again. But it can’t drink the water.
It tries to break the jar, but the jar is too heavy.
The crow looks at the jar for a long time and thinks.
Then it picks up a small stone and puts the stone into the jar. The crow picks up another stone and puts into the jar. Then it picks up and puts into the jar another and another and another stone. The stones go to the bottom of the jar, and the water comes slowly up and up and up.
