bring up the generation useful to the society. The main aim of this project is to teach young people morality and responsibility, and to engage in good deeds. A cultural event which was called “Residents of a smart city” was held within the project “Enlighten your environment” by teachers and students of the chair of General Linguistics and European Languages, who consider good deeds, courtesy and good breeding to be the main personal qualities of a smart city. The aim of the cultural event was to propagandize virtue and kindness, respect and courtesy, goodness and help, purity of the soul and modesty, honesty and love. All teachers of the chair actively took part in organizing this cultural event. During the event the chair offered to start other new projects within the project “Enlighten your environment”. One of them is called «100 aphorisms that a student of KazNU should know», Another one is called “Respect for elders, courtesy for youth” pupil-student- master student-doctoral student-teacher, which promotes the continuity of generations. The content and the importance of the project “Enlighten your environment” should be greatly emphasized. The members of the volunteer movement “Heirs”, which was established at the chair of General Linguistics and European Languages organized voluntary unpaid work on Saturdays in veterans home. By cleaning the rooms of veterans the students got the blessing of old people. The teachers and students of the chair organized a charity event called “Let’s bring joy to children” in the orphanage №1 in the city of Almaty. The students made acquaintance with the children of groups «Balausa» and «Baldyrgan», laid the table in honor of the children, the students offered the food they had made themselves. The teachers and students played different games with children, enjoyed the talent and abilities of small children, listened to poems and songs which the children had performed. In honor of the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan an educational event on the theme «The Day of The First President» was held in the English Language by teachers of the chair. The aim is to give information about the biography, public work, and policy of the President N.A. Nazarbayev and also to show him as a talented person and to glorify the leadership qualities of the President. The audience enjoyed a film clip from the film «The sky of my childhood» during this educational event. The quiz and presentations made by students included information about the biography and achievements of the President in the professional sphere. Thus, by organizing this event teachers of the chair had two goals: firstly, to teach students to love their native land, to be as patriotic as our President. Secondly, this educational event dedicated to the President’s Day was held in the English Language and it contributed to the development of language skills of students. Another festive event called “Long live, Kazakhstan!” took place at the chair of General Linguistics and European Languages on the eve of the Independence Day of Kazakhstan. This event was organized by the teachers of the chair and by students from America who are studying at our faculty on an exchange program. At this event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan American students danced our national dance “Kara Zhorga” and read poems and sang songs in the Kazakh Language. The aim of the project «Greencampus» is to teach students to care about the environment, to teach students to be more responsible and careful with the environment. Within the framework of this project the teachers of the chair organize different voluntary work in the dormitory, on the territory of KazNU such as planting of greenery, planting of flowers and trees, decorate classrooms and dormitory with flowers. Within the framework of the project «The top 100 books which a student of KazNU should read» literary events on the biography and literary works of famous British or American poets or writers, meetings with famous domestic poets, writers are organized by teachers of the 35 ТАНЫМ chair. Theatrical performances on the literary works of well-known British and American writers are conducted by students in the English Language. Literary events were held on such themes as «Works of Mukagali Makataev», «Prose of Abai», «Works of W.Shakespeare». Within the framework of the above-mentioned project the teachers of the chair organized a round table on the theme «Books are the key of the science». The main aim is to increase the intellectual level of students. Information about this project was provided during this event and there was a discussion on the books which a student of KazNU should read. The importance of reading these 100 books was also talked about during the event as books contribute to the development of communicative competencies of future specialists. To sum up, all these innovative projects that are being used by teachers of our university «Enlighten your environment», «Greencampus», «The top 100 books which a student of KazNU should read», «A healthy lifestyle» help bring up and educate well-educated and well-bred young people. All these projects are of great importance in the educational process. The teachers of the Chair of General Linguistics and European Languages use these innovative projects in educational and teaching process in order to train highly educated and competent future specialists. жүктеу/скачать 4,34 Mb.
