Annotation. The need to activate patriotic education of the younger generation is
extremely urgent in modern conditions. Patriotic education should become a priority task for the
development of education, as today it becomes a condition of Russian national security. In the
context of the formation of civil society, it is necessary to educate a fundamentally new,
democratic personality. In the formation of such person a modern school should make a
significant contribution through the development and implementation of targeted programs of
civil-patriotic education.
