The article provides information regarding communication strategies, as well as the usage of tactics and
techniques used in the posts of travel blogs. Some definitions of strategies are given and analyzed from
communicative point of view. The relation between the strategy type and the information reference to different
participants of communication is determined. Article also mentions the importance of investigating the language
usage in tourist discourse in Kazakhstan. The article represents the basic components of communicative strategy
regarded as cognitive process planned by the sender to achieve the communicative purpose.
