The author leaves no important question unaddressed and explains each of them clearly and comprehensively. For those familiar with the topic, he presents well-known facts succinctly, and for those unfamiliar with it, he elucidates them in an easily understandable manner. He impartially presents the data he possesses, making them valuable both to those who agree with the necessity of shock therapy for the country and those who do not.
2. Summarizing the book "Night Watch" by S. Lukyanenko can be quite challenging, although the overall plot is fairly straightforward. From dusk till dawn, the city is patrolled by the forces of light, known as the Light Ones. They strive to restrain the forces of darkness, or the Dark Ones. The sides cannot engage in full-scale war due to a treaty between them. At night, the Light Ones ensure that the Dark Ones adhere to the treaty and, if necessary, punish the violators. During the daytime, the Dark Ones do the same to the Light Ones. An interesting aspect of this book is the striking similarity between the Light and Dark Ones. In Lukyanenko's world, the true difference between them lies in their motivations, especially concerning humanity. The Light Ones seek to protect human life, while the Dark Ones only seek to exploit humans for their own interests. In other words, the negative characters care only about themselves, while the positive ones care about others and are willing to make sacrifices for them. However, despite their different goals, the means employed by both sides are remarkably similar. The main character, Anton, grapples with this question throughout the entire book, noting the readiness of the Light Ones to manipulate, lie, and even sacrifice innocent lives to advance their seemingly noble goal: the well-being of humanity. This similarity in the methods used by the Light and Dark Ones causes Anton considerable concern and disappointment.
