(Kazakhstan) CORRELATION BETWEEN EPONYMS AND CULTURE Summary: Еponyms, as words that come from the proper name of a person or place, are the most important source of knowledge about those people who created science or history, and the current trend of modern linguistics towards the study of the human factor allows us to consider eponymous terms in the light of a cognitive and linguo-cultural approach. The article determines the relevance of eponyms as linguistic monuments that play an important role in a deeper understanding of the linguistic worldview of the world. Key words: eponym, term, personal names, cognition, culture. Резюме: Эпонимы, как слова, происходящие от собственного имени человека или места, являются важнейшим источником знаний о людях, внесших существенный вклад в науку или историю. Текущая тенденция современной лингвистики к изучению человеческого фактора позволяет нам учитывать одноименные термины в свете когнитивного и лингвокультурологического подхода.
