clear advantages of any one paradigm over the rest. Each of them, along with a large number of positive
features, has its own negative aspects. The necessity of improving the methodological system of teaching
computer science for students of pedagogical universities based on the use of the logical programming
paradigm is substantiated. A feature of the methodological system is the focus on learning and adapting
the logical programming paradigm and the ability to combine its use with other programming paradigms,
which allows students to choose the most effective approach to solving the problem
