RESUME
The proposed second volume of «Aitys» (Twenty-five volume edition «Anthology
of Kazakh art») is a continuation of the publication of texts - it is aitys of pre-Soviet
period. This volume like the first, is composed of two parts. The first part included aitys
of brightest representatives of the poetic world of akyns-improvisers: Zhambyl Zhabayev,
Sarysholak Boranbayuly, Bolman Kozhabayuly, Sauytbek Usauly, Aset Naimanbayev,
Zhanyldyk Aytimbetkyzy and others. Their works are arranged in chronological order -
from the second half of the XIX and the first half of the XX century. Unfortunately, not all
akyns improvisers have complete biographical data, it is due to the fact that information
about
the creative life, as well as the texts of aitys, handed down orally through the
generations.
In the second part are scientific applications that are briefly presented biographical
information of akyns-improvisers. Every text is equipped with scientific comments,
explanations, includes a brief dictionary of historical names and geographical information.
The collection includes Aitys, published in editions of «Aitys» in 1965-66 and 1988.
However, this volume includes Aitys taken from the collections of uncensored, released
only in years of Kazakhstani independence. For example,
the works of Sarysholak
Boranbayuly, whose creativity was considered «not worthy of the Soviet ideology,» or
Myrzabekov Bayzhanuly (Kyzyl zhyrshy), detached from the literary sphere because of
piety.
Anthologyis intendedfor teachers and students of conservatory, university of the
arts and other high schools, it is also addressed to teachers and pupils of
music school,
researchers of aytis, a wide rangeof readers who respect Kazakh arts.
