Lingua-cultural peculiarities of winged words and phrases of english language and the importance
of their studying and usage by children with special needs
Abstract
Startıng wıth the second half of the twentıeth century, scientists brought up the importance of
studying of the connection between national culture and the language on which this nation talks.
Language is some kind of view on an inner world of a human being, a door to his soul. All his hopes,
believes and life points can be traced in the way he speaks, in his native language.
The connection
between the culture and language is already a fact nowadays, and the whole picture on a certain nation is
better seen through the prism of its language. That’s why we decided to make English winged words and
phrases as an object of this article. In them you can see the knowledge and identity of an ethnicity. The
vast majority of winged words in English originated from a certain phenomenon and event. Most
of them have been semantically grown over time and have a new significance level, while the
other group has retained its original meaning. So, in every language
there are a lot of simple
word combinations that are understandable, short, meaningful and useful, imaginative and
nationally identical. Among them the winged words play a special role, it can be used to describe
many things, both structurally and in terms of content components.
In this article, we also
considered the ways and importance of learning of winged words and phrases by children with
special needs. Their usage, not only has a potential to improve imagination and critical thinking
of
children, but also helps to adapt national peculiarities of the culture of the language they
learn. All of this helps to improve the authenticity of children’s speech.
