Lingvo-stylistic means of artistic character creation
Lingvo-stylistic means of artistic character creation are considered in this article. Existing researches of por-
trait descriptions underline the importance and significance of using stylistic devices in artistic character creation.
As the analyzed material shows more often used stylistic devices are metaphors, similes and epithets.
Key words: Metaphor, simile, epithet, allusion, metonymy, litotes, repetition and parallel constructions, oxy-
moron, personification.
