Under the communicative competence of senior students at school we can give the following definition. It is the ability to implement the speech activity which means the language is spoken correctly using the system language and speech standards and choose the communicative behavior in accordance with the objectives and the situation of communication within a particular sphere of activity. It is based on a set of knowledge, skills and abilities that allow to participate in verbal communication in their productive and receptive forms. Consequently, communicative competence consists of the following components:
Cognitive - knowledge necessary for effective communication:

Linguistic knowledge which are considered as part of school programs in the discipline in
English language and culture of speech: normative (standards for the use of English language in the
speech: phonetic, lexical, morphological, syntactic etc.), communication (cognitive quality of a
good speech); And also the structure of communication.
2.
Knowledge of communication (communication - one of the activities and the elements of
communication as one of the types of activity: motivation, focussubject, mechanisms of speech
activity, feedback mechanisms).
3.
The aspects of behavior in communication (communication focus: teacher-student,
student-student).
Activity - the ability to use linguistic knowledge, knowledge of communication, the aspects
of behavior
in communication into practice when thereis exchange of information.

Use of linguistic knowledge into practice in four types of communication activities
(speaking, writing, listening, reading). Following the rules of speech etiquette, be able to establish
contact with the audience. Working on the composition of speech and logic of presentation, choose
the expressive means of speeches, effectively start and finish the statement. Create and edit the text
in different styles. Demonstrate creativity in communicative activity. To be able to understand and
define the lexical meaning of words, to interpret the text of different styles and types of speech
correctly.
