Summary JAPANESE LITERATURE IN KAZAKHSTAN Abisheva S.D. - Head of Department of Russian language and literature, Abai KazNPU, Doctor of Philology, professor, s.abisheva@mail.ru The article is devoted to Japanese literature in the cultural and educational field of Kazakhstan. There is shown the
background of interest of the Soviet Union in this. In independent Kazakhstan attention to the literature of the Far East
is expressed in four aspects: science, education, culture and translation. Review of Kazakhstan researchers indicates the
presence of proximity between the Japanese and Kazakh artistic artistic ideology. Japanese literature is studied as an
academic subject in the leading universities of the country. It is presented Kazakhstan Internet rating portals, media
and public organizations that interested in Japanese literature. Besides, there are considered the problems of translation
into Kazakh language. The prospects of studying Japanese literature in Kazakhstan are also provided.
