group was 101 students, the control group
included 95 students. The work was carried out
during the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th semesters. The
study of the initial levels of such indicators as
motivation and readiness for professionally
oriented learning, as well as the characteristics
of the manifestation of professionally oriented
language competence - professionally-oriented
reading,
speaking, maste-ring the methods of
logical thinking was done.
II. Shaping stage of the experimental work.
The goal of the experimental work shaping
stage was to prove effectiveness of the developed
organizational and pedagogical conditions in the
process of professionally oriented teaching a FL
to shape the professionally oriented language
competence of a technical university students,
the opportunity to use a FL as a tool, a tool for
increasing the professional competence level.
The peculiarity of the experimental work
was the development of special tools, the
implementation of adapted interactive methods
of teaching (verbal-dialectical, case-study),
methods of term-conceptual
work for the
actualization of professionally oriented FL
teaching which was based on interdisciplinary
links taking into consideration the curricula of
majoring disciplines, the work with teaching and
educational aids and material, approximating or
imitating future professional activity, as well
as for increasing the students independence,
activity, and the intensity
of the educational
process.
III. The resulting stage of the experimental
work states the level of shaping professionally
oriented language competence through reading,
speaking, methods of logical thinking, students’
self assessment in the course of solving logical
problems with professionally oriented terms
and concepts in the course of working with the
text, composing questions-judgments, solving
professionally oriented situational tasks, and
implementing recitative activities.
Taking into account that for the organization
of professionally oriented teaching the teacher
must have information
about the state of the
initial level of motivation and readiness for such
training, we studied these features. Questionnaire
"Study of Motivation and Readiness for FL
Learning" was developed and used to determine
the level of motivation shaping and readiness
for professionally oriented learning.
We studied the levels of these personal
features display in the 2nd year students
of D.Serikbaev
EKSTU of Geo Sciences
department and established the initial features
data in the experimental (101 students) and
control (95 students) groups, Table 1 shows.
