Summary The importance of leadership training in high school pupils Baikulova A.M. ‒ 3 th course PhD doctoral specialty of Pedagogy and psychology, KazNPU named after Abai Scientific supervisor: Abdigapbarova U.M. – doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor., KazNPU named after Abai The article is devoted to the importance of leadership training in high school pupils. Author distinguishes necessary skills that an individual must acquire to become an effective leader by analyzing the importance of preparing pupils for leadership. The article mentions the need to prepare the pupil-leader, who with his/her vigor can succeed at school, strive to self-development with curiosity, showing an activity in realizing decisions independently. Therefore, also the needs for people who can define the strategy of modern life that can improve the tactics of its realization in personal experience and the experience of social development have been emphasized. The author pays attention to the need to prepare a new type of leaders that can quickly find a common language with people in the field of education, with leadership principles that can analyze, encourage, and think strategically and effectively. A brief description of the concepts of “professionalism” and “charisma” has been given. It also discusses the quality of the individual inherent to charismatic leader in the works of authors who study this problem. Particular attention is paid to the peculiarities of the leader as sense of purpose, energy, ability to manage a group of people with desire, loyalty, common sense, self- confidence, knowledge. Therefore, professional skills necessary to be a leader are grouped and analyzed, also their definitions are considered.
