Contents "General Hydrobiology" familiarization with the
hydrosphere and its characteristic as a habitat for organisms. The
adaptation of aquatic organisms to aquatic life, water bodies of
different types and characteristics of the population, especially the
structure and biology of different aquatic habitats, distribution and
quantitative development of aquatic organisms of different habitats
and their role in the hydrosphere and practical value. The course is
supported by the advanced laboratory practicum.
Objectives
of
the
course:
- The study of the general internal laws of structural functional
organization of the aquatic ecosystem, which determine the
cycling of substances and flow of energy in them.
-knowledge of the morphology, physiology, reproduction, geographic distribution
and ecology of representatives of major taxon;
- ability to implement measures to protect biodiversity and the sustainable use of
natural resources in economic and medical purposes;

The purpose of the course - outline a concept of different types of
water bodies , with a variety of invertebrates that live in the seas and
inland waters . The course approach a problem of the
contemporary understanding of the taxonomy of aquatic organisms,
their relationship with the environment, outline a concept of the
objects of acclimatization, their biology and distribution. Shows the
geographical distribution of aquatic invertebrates and their
significance in the pond and in human life.
Objectives of the course:
- To show the fauna of different types of water bodies, the modern
classification of invertebrates, their origin, ecology and importance
in the pond and human activities;
- To form an idea of the relationship of aquatic organisms with the
environment;
- To show the diversity of aquatic organisms.

The course examines the basics of general pathology, parasitology,
epizootiology and prevention and treatment of fish diseases. In the
course is given a description of viral, bacterial, parasitic diseases
and fungal infections are also considered, mycotoxicosis and lesser
known diseases, non-communicable diseases of fish. Characteristics
of fish as vectors of pathogens of human and animal diseases.
The purpose of discipline, learn how to control the epizootic
condition of the fish farms and natural bodies of water with different
water bodies (virology , bacteriology , parasitology , histology) . To
acquaint students with the basics of general pathology, parasitology,
epizootiology, with the methods of the study of infectious and
parasitic diseases, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of fish
diseases.
Objectives of the course:

This course covers the basic laws of genetics at different organismal
level (Drosophila melanogaster- fruit fly, peas, and wheat). Students
master the genetic analysis of the interaction of alleles and allelic
genes, genetics, gender and sex-linked inheritance, linkage of genes
and crossing over, genetic and cytological mechanism of crossing-
over, mutation variability, human genetics and genetic processes in
the population. Molecular mechanisms of inheritance of traits
studied at the level of analysis of the fine structure of genes, in
particular the determination of allelism and allelism test, the
molecular mechanisms of mutation and recombination of genes, the
genetic code, gene function and the molecular basis of the
interaction of genes.
