специальности «Сестринское дело» при выборе специальности, восприятия факторов
индивидуального и семейного экономического положения и его влияние на способность
принять решения в проблемных ситуациях.

skills and the factors considered to affect them. The research sample is consisted of 160 students
studying in the nursing department of health school at a state university in the 2009-2010 academic.
Data is collected with ―Personal Information Form‖ and ―Problem-solving Inventory‖ developed by
Heppner and Petersen and adapted to Turkish by Şahin and Savaşır. In evaluating the data,
percentage, arithmetic avarage, the significance test of difference between two avarage and one-way
analysis of variance is used. It has been determined that the students‘ score average of problem-
solving is 95.46±19.44, personal control subscale is 16.81±3.59, reliance sub-scale of problem-
solving abilities is 30.04±08.46, convergence / avoidance subscale is 48.62±11.52, respectively. It has
been determined that the level of problem solving skills of the students in the scope of research are at
the average and the factors such as gender,
section to prefer, their families and their perceptions of
their own economic situation
do not affect their problem solving skills average. Problem-solving
training may be offered to the students.
