Exsellence Almaty, Kazakhstan The effectiveness of using formative assessment methods in secondary schools of Kazakhstan The article discusses the relevance of human development in accordance with the national program "Intellectual
nation - 2020". It reveals the need to use different methods in schools formative assessment of students' achievements.
Attention is paid to the development of pedagogical skills of teachers in the application of techniques in the classroom
formative assessment of student achievement. The classification of the different methods of formative assessment as
written, oral, illustrative, non-verbal. The article focuses on the effectiveness of formative assessment practices in
improving student motivation for learning activities. A brief description of the different functions of formative
assessment.
