Abstract. This article is devoted to the phenomenon of a massive speech act in political 
discourse and methods of its translation. The definition of the role of the speech act of a threat in 
political discourse and the concept of a massive discourse. The article studies the structure, influ-
ence and methods of translation of a mas- sive speech act both in native and in a foreign language. 
Possible difficulties in translation, when searching for equivalents. Development of strategies for 
the translation of the threat speech in the translation. In connection with the extreme complexity 
and the need to deepen the speech phenomenon of the illocutionary speech act, to which the speech 
act of the threat relates, the structural description of the possible types of a large speech act and 
the methods of their translation.
