Methods of research work: In the work, methods of studying and analyzing the results of questions and answers, control, questionnaires, practice tests were used.
Metadological basis of the research work: the comments of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev in the messages and reports set the methodological basis for our work.
Scientific novelty of the research work: consists of the following:
– the scientific and methodological foundations of teaching models of World Literature in general education schools were studied more deeply through the principles of teaching;
ways of using methods of genre teaching of world literature models in general education schools have been identified;
Practical significance and approbation of the results of the research work: A total of 3 articles on the topic of the master's thesis were published at 2 International and 1 Republican conferences.
The structure of the research work . The work consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion and a list of references.

Summary and brief description of the recommendations: The perception of world literature as a subject of Education, based on the psychophysiological and age characteristics of students in teaching, the introduction of models of world literature of various genres and various topics in curricula and textbooks requires optimal methods of familiarization with some genres or trends in national literature, and also serves to further strengthen the joint activities of teachers and students.
In teaching world literature in general secondary schools, students ' systematic familiarization with translations of masterpieces of World Literature in their native languages expands their understanding of the national characteristics, history, culture, art, traditions and way of thinking of different peoples, increases their worldview, consolidates their sense of self-knowledge.
The comparison method serves to expand students ' understanding of literature, literary views, image creation, unconventional views on reality, the ability of the author to innovate in a unique poetic form and content in the spiritual world.
