Some came to us from other languages. Some phraseological turns are rooted in ancient mythology. Phraseologisms are needed to make our speech more expressive, beautiful, emotional, rich. Phraseologisms characterize many aspects of a person's life: personal strengths and weaknesses, his attitude towards other people, towards work in a figurative form. To create a certain effect in a speech, there are few ordinary words. And phraseological units help to express assessment, emotions, relationships, impressions more clearly, concisely, accurately and emotionally. It’s one thing if mom says that you are messing around, and if she says that you are chasing a loafer, hitting the thumbs, then you will better understand the meaning of her words and your mistake. The relevance of the work lies in the fact that phraseology is one of the sections of linguistics. Hence, it is an integral part in language learning in general. To speak well, you need to know the language you speak well. The one who reads a lot, who listens attentively to people who own the culture of speech, speaks and writes better. Therefore, we will not know the language well without knowing the phraseology! Phraseologisms are one of the sources of enrichment of the Russian language. Learning how to choose phraseological units correctly is a necessary condition for bright, expressive and accurate speech. The phraseological richness of the Russian language is enormous.
