Skimming a range of lengthy texts with speed to identify content meriting closer reading on a range of general and curricular topics Writing. A learner plans and makes a brief outline of a written text, edits and proofreads texts of a range of genres and styles.

  2. Use a growing range of vocabulary, which is appropriate to topic and genre, and which is spelt accurately;

  3. Apply a variety of abstract compound nouns and complex noun phrases on topic.
