ABSTRACT The title of the graduation project is the teaching method for solving irra-
tional inequalities in secondary school algebra course. This final work is aimed at
solving irrational inequalities.
The aim of the work is to reveal the methodological peculiarities of teaching
the topic "Irrational inequalities" in the course of algebra in secondary school and
to create comprehension exercises on the researched topic to organize a self-
training and independent work of students.
The object of the graduation work is the process of teaching algebra in sec-
ondary school.
The subject of the diploma paper is the methodological feature of teaching
"Irrational inequalities" in the course of algebra in secondary school.
The graduation work describes in details methods for solving irrational ine-
qualities in the course of algebra of secondary school. We first discuss history of
the development of irrational inequalities. The readers’ attention is also drawn to
the methods of solving irrational inequalities and the possibility of their applica-
tion. We then analyze algebra school textbooks for grade 9. We also report the re-
sults of experiments conducted to explore ways to solve irrational inequalities.
Overall, the results suggest that the theme "Irrational inequalities" is one of
the most complex sections of algebra studied in the school curriculum. The work
done allows students to fully master the ability to solve irrational inequalities, and
avoid making mistakes when solving them.
